Race to USDGC Heats Up as Former Champs Schultz and Sexton Capture Weekend Wins

On the road to the 2019 United States Disc Golf Championship (USDGC), Team Innova athletes Barry Schultz and Nate Sexton took home big victories this past weekend. Barry won the Pro Masters 40+ division title at the Tim Selinske US Masters at Maple Hill Disc Golf Course, Leicester, MA. Barry has won the event seven times (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, and now 2019). Additional Team Innova champs include Johnny Sias (Pro Masters 60+) and Dr. Rick Voakes (Pro Masters 70+). Moving further north, Nate bested a field of 61 Open competitors in the Canadian Disc Golf Championship held on Prince Edward Island, Canada. After three rounds, including a shortened, 13-hole round two to avoid the effects of post-tropical storm Dorian, he finished 24 under par, three strokes ahead of second place finisher Paul McBeth.
