Professional disc golf is more competitive than ever, which means big wins like this carry more weight than ever. Innova Star Team member Eveliina Salonen rose to the occasion at the 2025 United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship, earning her fourth Major title and moving one step closer to a career grand slam. Her teammates Emily Weatherman, Henna Blomroos, and Ohn Scoggins joined Eveliina in the Top 10. Things are heating up for Team Innova.

It was clear from early on that this was going to be a special week for Eveliina Salonen. She opened the tournament with a 1020-rated, -8 round at Rolling Ridge DGC—the hot round of the event—fueled by pinpoint accuracy, steady putting, and an epic ace on hole 16.
Eveliina stayed hot from there, leading the field in Scramble Rate, C1 Hits in Regulation, C2 Hits in Regulation, and Strokes Gained Tee to Green for the tournament. Even with those stellar stats, it wasn’t locked up until the very end. Salonen had to birdie four of the final six holes to take the lead and the win.
Eveliina has shown these past two seasons that she thrives when the pressure is highest. Of her last six victories, three are Majors and one is the Finnish National Championship. This win marks her first US Women’s title, giving her four distinct PDGA Major wins and putting her well on her way to the career grand slam. She’s already a Hall of Fame lock, but a win at the European Open would take her career achievement to the next level.
With this year’s PDGA World Championship taking place in her home country of Finland, Eveliina—now the reigning World Champion and US Women’s Champion—is a favorite to go back-to-back.
I didn’t remember how fun it can be to battle under the pressure, so I really enjoyed it. I’m not always that positive, but why be negative? Stay patient and just wait for opportunities.
