ATDG named Disc Golf World Tour media partner

Today, we’re excited to announce our involvement with the upcoming Disc Golf World Tour. All Things Disc Golf has been named an official media partner for the 2016 season!

Jussi Meresmaa first told us about the DGWT shortly before the 2015 United States Disc Golf Championship. Soon after our conversation ended, we knew we wanted to be a part of this exciting tour. We were fortunate enough to work with Meresmaa and his team at this year’s USDGC and it was a great preview of what is possible in 2016.

Today also marks the release of the new DGWT website. Along with the new website, the organizers have updated the 2016 DGWT schedule. After searching for a third event in the United States, they are moving forward with just the two events, the LaMirada Open in March and United States Disc Golf Championship in October. They are also updating their European part of the schedule with the addition of the European Open in Nokia, Finland instead of the proposed stop in Estonia.

ATDG will be on hand at the two events in the United States with remote coverage of the three European events in 2016. We’ll continue to bring all the action and analysis from each and every tournament as the inaugural season of the Disc Golf World Tour gets underway.

We are only three months away from the LaMirada Open and will have full previews of the event as we get closer to the first DGWT event in California.

We have to thank Meresmaa and the rest of the Spin18 team for this opportunity. A few months before the actual DGWT announcement Meresmaa made it a point to keep in communication with us as the plans continued to come together on their side of the table. We’re excited for the future and glad we can be a part of it.

Finally, we have to thank you, the reader. Without your continued support, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do with ATDG. 2015 has been our best year yet, and we know we can surpass expectations again in 2016. Stay tuned, it will be a fun ride!
