You can’t ask for much more than what Eveliina Salonen is delivering right now. The reigning World Champion, US Champion, and Finnish Champion added another title to her list last weekend, winning the 2025 European Disc Golf Championship in Langevåg, Norway. For the second weekend in a row, the route to victory involved an ace—this time, probably the greatest shot of Eveliina’s career so far.
Innova also saw two Junior division champions crowned, with Ida Emilie Nesse and Eetu Tuominen bringing home European titles of their own.

Eveliina Salonen and Kristin Lätt pulled 18 strokes clear of the field by the final round, turning the European Disc Golf Championship into a two-player showdown. It took a playoff to decide it, but Eveliina came out on top. With her win at US Women’s last weekend and now this, Eveliina has red-hot momentum heading into the rest of the European Pro Tour stretch.
She started off six strokes back after round one, but the dream came back to life in round two with the wildest ace caught on DGN in a long, long time—likely the greatest shot of Eveliina’s career to this point. She smashed a 124-meter (407-foot) ace on Hole 12, a par 4, to ignite her comeback and put the field on notice.

From there, Eveliina kept pressing. She gained two more strokes on Kristin in the third round, and edged her way into a playoff through the windy final round. After two holes, Kristin made a mistake, and Eveliina came out on top.
Looking at her stat line, it’s no surprise Eveliina took this one down. She led the field in Parked percentage, C1 Hits in Regulation, and C2 Hits in Regulation. With brutal winds testing every part of the course, her precise throwing gave her a clear edge. Teammate Henna Blomroos also delivered for Team Innova, rounding out the FPO podium in 3rd place behind Eveliina and Kristin.
This win follows Eveliina’s US Women’s Disc Golf Championship victory last weekend, a PDGA Major. At that event, she had an ace in the first round, also caught by the Disc Golf Network – Eveliina is turning out the highlights and reaping the benefits in the form of wins. She now holds the World, US, Finnish, and European titles. In just one month, she’ll defend her World crown on home soil in Finland—and that is the disc golf storyline of the summer.

Ida Emilie Nesse wasn’t leading the FJ18 division heading into the final round, but she closed in style. She fired a 986-rated round—the hot round by eight strokes and the highest-rated round of her career—to surge into first and claim the European Championship.
Ida had an edge across the board, leading the division in Parked percentage, C2 Hits, C1 Putting, C2 Putting, Strokes Gained Tee to Green, and Strokes Gained Putting.
It was a strong showing for Team Innova in FJ18, with Iida Lehtomäki also making the podium in 2nd place.
Eetu Tuominen never let go of the lead, but it wasn’t a runaway from the start. Through the first two rounds, the field stayed on his heels. Eetu opened up his lead in round three and ultimately closed out the tournament with a 10-stroke victory in the MJ18 division. It was a well-rounded performance, with Eetu finishing second in the field in both Strokes Gained Putting and Strokes Gained Tee to Green.
The Tour is heading to Øverås DiskGolfPark in Norway for the PCS Open presented by Innova. A world-class course and a staple of the European summer swing, PCS kicks off the full European Pro Tour stretch for 2025.
