Round One

Playing for Finland

The first Pro Worlds in Finland, and Team Innova’s Finnish athletes are rising to meet it. Henna, Iida, and Eetu all sit in podium position after Round 1, carrying the hopes of a home crowd with them. Across the board, Innova is off to a stellar start — especially in FPO, where 7 of our athletes are in the Top 10.

Home Crowd, Hot Round

Henna Blomroos lit it up with a 1018-rated opener to take the solo lead. Two strokes clear of the field, Henna was unstoppable off the tee — leading Parked percentage, C1 & C2 in Regulation, and Strokes Gained Tee to Green. The Finns are getting a show.

Mertsch on the March

Kat Mertsch is tied for 2nd after a clean, confident round. She led the field in Fairway Hits, Average Putt Length, and Total Putting Distance — keep it in bounds and drain the putt, simple as that.

Iida Putts the Pressure Behind Her

Finnish rising star Iida Lehtomäki joins Kat in the tie for 2nd. She went 100% from C1x and looked unshaken by the pressure in just her third-ever PDGA Major.

Finnish Phenom

In just his 5th career Major, Eetu Tuominen is tied for 2nd in MPO. He’ll be on the lead card for Round 2 — a massive step forward for the young Finn on the biggest stage of his career.
