Disc golfers raise nearly $215,000 for children of St. Jude

The inaugural St. Jude Disc Golf Charity Invitational is in the books and while Will Schusterick and Valarie Jenkins took home the top spot, the real winners are the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. At the end of this weekend’s tournament they announced $214,708 has been raised to date!

Putting on a great tournament on a beautiful course was certainly a priority for this weekend, the top priority was raising money for the kids and it is safe to say that was accomplished!

The top fundraising teams were Team Innova ($34,614), Team Prodigy ($27,762), and the PDGA Board and Staff ($11,958). Individually, Paul McBeth raised $21,023 with Judd Dague/Team Connor ($6,351) and Steve Ganz ($5,705) also bringing in big totals. In fact, Nate Sexton, Catrina Allen, Dana Vicich, Pete Cashen, and Dan Doyle each raised over $5,000 themselves.

With year one in the books, we can’t wait to see what the disc golf community can do in 2016!
